With Rui Naiwei 9p ... 1

· Jan. 23, 2009, 7: 58 PM

not expect to hear the name "Rui Naiwei" for the first time in my life.
When just beginning to learn Baduk as a child, my grandfather told me something suddenly
front of my family, when we offered a visit in his private area in Busan.

He said: "I shall not die now, because I have to see Hye Yeon Rui Naiwei beating."
way home I asked Mom.
"Who is Rui Naiwei? If I can not overcome it, is my grandfather will live forever? "
" Are you kidding? I also I have no idea who he is. "
Judging by its name, appears to be an American.
sounds like there is a very strong player in the U.S. Baduk
Your grandfather knows everything. "
Being just a beginner, and was good on the Baduk
or knew of the existence of a professional system in the world Baduk.
I could not get a clear idea of what my grandfather said,
but at least the name of a woman, Rui Naiwei, was deeply ingrained in my memory.

second thought, my grandfather was the indirect cause I could learn to play Baduk.
He had a fondness for the Baduk end, and used to go every Sunday to his son to a game, it's been about 30 years.
My uncle always tried to give some excuse to escape his father,
but always ended up playing a couple of games every time my grandmother asked. Once
sitting at the Baduk board, played all day.
So, my mom grew up thinking that the Baduk should be a very exciting game. Assuming
were in the shoes of my grandfather, she never asked for a lesson no matter how the game was interesting, because the constant reluctance abused his ego.

However, my grandfather never gave to propose a game until my uncle repeatedly rejected his offer.
My mother thought there was something special in Baduk since childhood.
As for my aunt, the meaning of Baduk was totally different.
She had the strong will never to marry a phenomenon of Baduk.

When I was 5, my kindergarten teacher claimed that he could not continue teaching.
She said I was trouble because I had been reading books for several months and never was with my mates class.
suspected that I was autistic and recommended I go to a doctor.
From that day on, my mom took me to a swimming spot,
and allowed me to learn to play the piano and violin every evening.
Thanks to their efforts could keep me away from books.
Still, I used my free time reading books and drawing pictures of my impressions of the books.
The following year I joined the YMCA offered
education with basic exercises, contrary to kindergarten.
Children many types of exercises they learned there, and there was plenty
sports team instead of books.

Not to mention that the YMCA has a swimming program, so I had two places to learn to swim.
seriously I was taking swimming all day.
